John Tomkins Takes Reins at New Roth & Tomkins

East Norwalk, Conn. —

John Tomkins has assumed the presidency of the former Roth Fabrics/Weathervane Hill, which has been renamed Roth & Tomkins.

Tom Roth, former president of the company, now heads Weathervane Hill, which is a retailer of decorative fabrics, as a well as maintaining a financial interest in Roth & Tomkins. John Hopkins, formerly the company's chief financial and operations officer for 13 years, is now president of the wholesale business. Roth & Tomkins owns the license to market at wholesale the home furnishings fabrics of Weathervane Hill.

Lori Roth Tomkins, who has been affiliated with the company for more than a decade, has become managing partner.

Tom Bruno, executive vice president, continues as head of the sales activities.

The company's full design staff based here includes: Linda Sparrow and Patricia Hoffman, both formerly with Weave, and two colorists.

At Showtime in High Point, N.C., in July, Roth & Tomkins won the Best in Show award for showroom presentation.
