LOS ANGELES —
Cecil Saydah's rug division, Design Network, recently launched its two-piece Outdoor Décor set containing a printed coir doormat with a resin garden stone.
Targeting the mid-tier and specialty stores and home centers with its suggested retail price point of $24.99, the new pre-packed coordinate sets are available in eight designs, including bugs, flowers, gardening tools and cats. They will be ready for shipping this spring, Deborah Powell, director of marketing, said.
Also, these new sets represent an "international coordinated effort between several countries," Powell noted, pointing out that the mats are made in China, the stones in India and the assembly and packing in the United States here at headquarters.
"These sets are giving the traditional doormat buyers something new and exciting," Powell added. "Generally, many stores are not able to carry stones by themselves, but by packaging them with the mats it makes it possible to merchandise them."
