JOINVILLE, BRAZIL — Brazilian towel manufacturer Dohler will be setting up shop at 261 Fifth Avenue, New York, in suite 510 in time for the New York Home Textiles Market, which begins in late March. The 1,500-square-foot showroom will be completely renovated and open for business in early February.
According to Dohler export manager Aldo Schneider, the move is designed to help the company expand its sales in the U.S. and operate closer to customers. Dohler is looking to increase its export business worldwide with particular interest in areas where it doesn't already have a strong presence, as it does in South America, Europe and Asia.
In addition the company has hired former Terrisol executive vice president and general manager Eric Vergucht to aid in this effort as an independent agent in the U.S.
