Hosted by the Chicago Athenaeum and founded in 1950 by former Museum of Modern Art curator Edgar Kaufmann, the Good Design Award program bestows juried international recognition upon designers and manufacturers for advancing new and innovative product concepts and originality, and for stretching the envelope beyond what is considered standard product design.
The Hunter Douglas line was selected from nearly 1,000 entries from companies across the globe. Hunter Douglas was the only window covering company to receive the award.
