Theilmann New H.R. Chief at Penney
Replaces Davis, Who Retired After 41 Years

Plano, Texas — J.C. Penney Company has hired Michael Theilmann as executive vice president, chief human resources and administration officer, effective June 1.
He joins Penney from Yum! Brands Inc., where he most recently was senior vice president, human resources and chief people officer of its international business. Theilmann will report to Myron “Mike” Ullman, chairman and CEO.
Theilmann succeeds Gary Davis, who joined Penney in 1964 and has been chief human resources and administrative officer since 1996. Davis recently announced his retirement after 41 years with the company.
