Rizzy hires Welch, Barta to managerial posts

Calhoun, Ga. – Area rug company Rizzy Rugs – an India-based manufacturer of handmade and supplier of machine-made varieties – has hired two new executives.
Kevin Welch, who spent several years working in sales management at Karastan and Oriental Weavers, comes to Rizzy as its regional sales manager.
Rizzy said it is “excited to have a Kevin as part of our team to help us grow as our business continues to expand. [He] brings a great understanding of how to build successful area rug programs and satisfy the needs of the retailers.”
Doug Barta, formerly with Shaw Indutries, is also new to Rizzy and has been appointed to the credit manager post.
The company said Barta “has many years experience and his expertise will be a valuable asset to Rizzy. [He] is a very talented and knowledgeable man that will help us achieve our growth plans in the coming years.”
