Karastan unveils holiday promo line

Dalton, Ga. – High-end area rug supplier Karastan is offering a limited-time promotion of upscale seasonal scatter rugs for the holiday selling season.

Holiday Accents, as Karastan calls these pieces, will include two patterns of heirloom quality, woven wool rugs. They are Holiday Wreath and Holiday Patchwork. Both come as 2-by-4 rugs, each to retail for $199.

The company previewed the program in July during the Atlanta International Area Rug market, and was encouraged by retailer response, said Stacie Shiver, brand specialist.

“It’s an easy, clever way to increase cash-and-carry business at a time when customers are looking for unique gift ideas,” Shiver said. “Retailers simply use our tower display, which many already have, and fill it with winter-themed rugs or a mix of accent patterns. Promotional panels, designer gift boxes and an optional poster stand add a festive touch to the store and encourage impulse purchasing.”

The promotion starts Oct. 1.

Retail stores that order 10 or more accent rugs from Sept. 3 through Dec. 3 will receive discount pricing and a free point-of-purchase set, which includes two tower panels, one poster and 10 designer gift boxes.
