Suppliers go natural

AT THE NEW YORK MARKET —

Natural fibers provide a complementary touch to both the casual living lifestyle and the tropical trend, and as such will be seen throughout decorative pillow collections at market.

Among the introductions in its Tropical Punch collection, Arlee Home Fashions will show its natural fiber collection of woven grasses, such as straw, rattan and seagrass, in shades of palm, sun, beach, glass, wisteria, Caribbean sky and ocean.

Straw will be used in Brentwood's introductions as part of its Panama collection. In both solid colors and combinations, its woven straw pillows will complete the look to its tropical styles and will be available in a knife-edge construction and trimmed with wooden beads.

Trendex Home Designs has seen solid sell-through with the seagrass fabrication in other areas of the home, and so will bow its seagrass decorative pillows with fabric trim, and an added sophisticated look.

At Town & Country, linen will provide the background for a collection of decorative pillows, chairpads and floor cushions in a warm earth tone palette of eight colors. The decorative pillows will be available as a center button pillow with hemp braiding as well as a non-button pillow with coordinated color welting.
