GTT Expands its Bedding Brands

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 1/14/2008 12:00:00 AM

GTT International has added the bedding collections of Jane Seymour, Dorma and Beds by Conran to its collection of decorative bedding — Canyon Crest, 100% Pure and Freckles.

The new collections "are so appealing as brands," explained Jerry Danza, eastern regional sales manager for GTT. "Most of our line is very traditional, and these designs bring some European flavors and a metropolitan/cosmopolitan approach to contemporary design."

Dorma and Beds by Conran are British, with the Conran collection created by the studios of noted British home furnishings designer/merchant Sir Terence Conran. Freckles is a kids bedding and accessories collection from Australia, while the Jane Seymour line is a home furnishings/marketing collection created by the actress/artist. The new collections will be showcased in the company's showroom at 230 Fifth Avenue here during the New York Home Fashions Market Week (Feb. 11-15) next month. Canyon Crest will have 12 to 14 beds, while each of the others will have about four beds each.

Price points for the new collections will reflect the influence of the new relationship with GTT. "One of the keys to our success has been our focus on the moderate price points," Danza pointed out. These beds will hit about the $200 mark, he noted.
