Registration opens for U.S. export promotion

New York -- A group of converters and finished textiles producers working in tandem with the U.S. Department of Commerce have opened registration for a global exporting promotion that includes joint exhibition at Heimtextil 2010 and a series of USA Home Textile Brand Tours to key global markets.
The first tour will take place July 5 to 16, during which participants will hold meetings with key retailers in Brazil, Chile and Panama. The tours will focus on making sales as well as setting up long-term relationships with agents, distributors, manufacturers and stores in each market.
U.S. Department of Commerce offices in each tour country are assisting in identifying potential accounts and setting up appointments.
Next Jan. 13 to 16 in Frankfurt, Germany, participants will exhibit in two newly designed USA Garden Pavilions at the Heimtextil international home textiles trade fair. One pavilion will be located in the decorative fabrics area, the other in the bed, bath, window and tabletop area.
