NEW YORK —
Ralph Lauren, celebrating its 35th year, unveiled three new additions for its bedding line, each designed to emphasize the company's heritage and tradition.
The majority of the line is for Lauren's Polo stores, with some items available for department stores.
Embroidered white and cream sheets make up the underbed for the masculine Anglesey. For the top-of-bed, five different shams in tweed, tattersall, paisley, velvet and cotton are all available. Two blankets, one in mohair and one in distressed shearling, as well as a glen plaid duvet, leather boudoir pillow and woven wool hopsack throw round out the collection.
Secretariat uses slightly bolder colors for its palette and also uses the polo player logo and crest. Quilted navy twill, alpaca trimmed in leather, and gabardine with velvet fringes make up the various shams. A shirt stripe and tattersall check adorn the cotton sheets, while the bed is finished with a cashmere blanket and a paisley duvet.
Designed to evoke images of an 18th-century farmhouse, Old Mill includes blue and white sheets finished with scallop-edge embroidery as well as floral cotton twill shams and duvet, wool hopsack shams and check cotton tattersall pillow cases. Ticking stripe and cableknit pillows, a patchwork quilt back in silk shantung ticking, and a pashmina pillow finish the top-of-bed.
We would love your feedback!
