New York – The New York Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) will present the discussion “Design Dialogue: Global Trends for Tomorrow, Today” on Sept. 30 at the Design Center.

The event is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and will take place at the center's conference room.

The New York Design Center is located at 200 Lexington Avenue and 33rd Street.

The speakers are: Hermine Mariaux, an expert in the fields of branding and licensing who developed the home collections for Calvin Klein, Valentino and others and whose work has been published in The New York Times and in House and Garden and Town & Country magazines; and international designer Patricia Bouley, founder of Bouley Design Inc., which services clients in Tokyo, Paris, London and New York. Bouley’ work is part of the permanent collection of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and the Rhode Island School of Design Museum.

Together, these industry veterans will share their insights on the latest trends for 2010 from Milan, Paris and New York.

The fee is $25 for IFDA members and $40 for non-members. IFDA student members pay $15; non-member students pay $20.
