By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 9/27/2004 12:00:00 AM

Kohl's Department Stores has appointed Chris Capuano executive vice president and general merchandise manager for its home and footwear divisions.

In her new stint, Capuano will be responsible for strategic management of the two divisions, focusing on continued improvement in merchandise quality and content. She will report directly to Kevin Mansell, president.

Prior to joining Kohl's, Capuano was senior vice president, home, for Federated Merchandising Group. Prior to that, she spent 16 years with Macy's, where she was vice president and divisional merchandise manager, home textiles.

“She is ideally suited as we continue to focus on merchandise newness. We welcome her valuable insight as we continue to execute our brands, value and convenience strategy coast to coast,” said Mansell.

Kohl's currently operates 598 stores in 38 states.
