Ballard buyer expands role

ATLANTA —
Carmen Herndon has become buyer, home textiles, fabrics and rugs, at Ballard Designs, a catalog and Internet retailer for home furnishings and accents, and she continues to report to Laura Daily, vp, merchandising. Herndon was previously the buyer of lighting and rugs.
She replaces Terry Handelman, who has left the company.
