Karastan Toasts Billion-Dollar Bill

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 12/17/2007 12:00:00 AM

Karastan, the upscale soft flooring division of Mohawk Industries, recently celebrated the “unsurpassed excellence” of its sales team at its national sales meeting, where the company bestowed top honors to those of its 30-year-plus veterans who individually have exceeded $100 million in business.

At the forefront of this Hall of Fame group was “Billion Dollar man” Bill Roach, who was also recognized for the most years of service. Regional vp of national accounts, Roach has been with the company the past 44 years and has accumulated sales exceeding $1 billion.

“Karastan has been good to me,” said Roach. “My travels, experiences and the relationships I've built over the years are memories I cherish. I am proud to represent Karastan and will continue to offer this company my very best.”

Also honored were: 36-year veteran John Black, territory manager for the South Pacific; 35-year veteran John Heath, territory manager for the Northeast; 35-year veteran Ed McRae, district manager; and 34-year veteran Pat Ford, regional vp for the South Pacific.

All report to Dennis Thiets, vp of sales, who was also honored for his 30 years of service.
