Iconix China Partners for Badgley Mischka

Iconix China Ltd. has entered into a partnership with vertically integrated Shanghai-based fashion company Eve NY to produce and distribute its Badgley Mischka brand in China.

Iconix said Eve NY will “open 170 free-standing stores and shop-in-shop concepts within the next five years” as part of the program. Apparel and fashion accessories will be the key categories. No word on whether Eve NY will develop home décor, but the Badgley Mischka brand does have a presence in non-apparel categories worldwide, such as footwear, fragrance and home.

Neil Cole, chairman and ceo, Iconix, noted that Iconix China (a joint venture with Novel Fashion Brands Ltd.) has since 2008 “signed four major partnerships covering London Fog, Rocawear, Rampage and Badgley Mischka that collectively plan to roll out close to 700 stores in the next three years.”
