FIT to honor executives during New York market

NEW YORK —
The Fashion Institute of Technology will honor merchants from Bloomingdale's, JCPenney and Macy's Home as part of its eighth annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast here during the New York Home Textiles Market.
Eric Salus, president, Macy's Home Store, will receive the Retailer of the Year Award. Gilbert Cavaliero, vice president and merchandise manager, Bloomingdale's, will receive the Humanitarian Award. Charles Chinni, executive vice president and general merchandising manager, JCPenney, will receive the Industry Leader of the Year Award; and CHF Industries executives Frank Foley, president and CEO, and Joan Karron, executive vice president, will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award.
The breakfast is March 30 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Waldorf Astoria. Proceeds will be used to fund scholarships for FIT's Home Products Development program. For information, call the Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries at (212) 217-7820.
