ShopNBC surpasses one million customers

Minneapolis – Multi-channel retailer ShopNBC has surpassed a record one million customers -- the company’s largest customer count in its 19-year history.
ShopNBC, which is owned and operated by ValueVision Media, attributed the milestone – achieved with both existing and new shoppers -- to “a diversified merchandise mix, lower price points, and an improved customer experience."
Year to date, the company expects its total customer base to grow by about 33% compared with last year.
While attracting more than 250,000 customers over the past 12 months, ShopNBC said it also achieved “major operational efficiencies” in order capture, customer service, and fulfillment, which lowered transactional costs by approximately 20% per unit in the fourth quarter versus a year ago.
Another feather in its cap is an expected increase in the company’s overall internet sales penetration, which is projected to be approximately 38% in the fourth quarter.
