ShopKo names Wurl senior vp and gmm, hardlines and home

Green Bay, WI — ShopKo Stores has promoted Doug Wurl to senior vp/gmm, hardlines and home, for the ShopKo division. Reporting to Kevin Easton, executive vp and chief merchandising officer, Wurl assumes responsibility for seasonal merchandise and the electronics, paint, hardware and automotive categories, in addition to his merchandising duties in linens, domestics, housewares and home decor.

Wurl joined the retailer in 2000 as divisional vp of soft home categories including linens, domestics and social expressions, and was promoted to senior vp/gmm of home in December 2001.
