Gilmartin named president of Service Merchandise

NASHVILLE, TN — Former Bed Bath & Beyond vp, gmm Jane Gilmartin has been named president and chief merchandising officer of Service Merchandise, which is preparing to emerge from two years in Ch. 11 during the fourth quarter.

Her 20 years of home and gift retailing experience includes posts at Fortunoff, Lechter's and Linens 'N Things.

"As we proceed to finalize our emergence strategy and five-year business plan, Jane Gilmartin brings proven merchandising vision to help us strategically integrate our home business with our strong jewelry business," said chairman and ceo Sam Cusano.
