Toronto – Sears Canada has named Dene Rogers acting president, effective May 9; the company earlier today said that current president and ceo Brent Hollister will leave on that date.
Rogers has been executive vp, restructuring and business improvement, and a member of the board of directors, at Sears Holdings since last October. Previously he was evp and general manager, Kmart Stores, which he joined in October 2003.
Hollister, who has been with Sears Canada for 37 years, was first named president in 2001 and has held his current titles since August 2004. He is also a member of the board of directors, but will not stand for re-election.
We would love your feedback!
