Frankfurt, Germany —
The Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) of the United States Department of Commerce will manage a business information office (BIO) at Heimtextil here this week.
The office, located in Hall 4.1, stand K18, will support American exhibitors and foreign buyers looking for a United States source for textiles home furnishings products, said Kim Glas, deputy assistant secretary for textiles and apparel, U.S. Department of Commerce.
Heimtexil, added Glas, has been certified by the USDOC/CS under “our Trade Certification Program, and as such we are supporting and promoting Heimtextil to American suppliers as a trade show to develop export sales.”
She continued: “Heimtextil has been and continues to be a major international trade show for textile home furnishings products. It is one of the oldest and best known trade shows in the textile home furnishings industry. Its sheer size and scope offers U.S. suppliers an excellent opportunity to meet buyers, agents, and distributors from over 76 countries in one place. The current relative value of the U.S. dollar affords American companies a competitive advantage compared with products supplied by European and Japanese companies.”
We would love your feedback!
