Greensboro, N.C. —
Unifi, Inc. plans to close its central distribution center in Mayodan, N.C., and move its operations to warehouse and logistics facilities in Yadkinville, N.C.
This change, which the company expects to complete by December, will eliminate 19 positions and will relocate approximately 60 positions to Yadkinville.
“Our recent success in reducing inventories allows us to centralize and maximize the overall efficiency of our warehousing and logistics operations, which will be accomplished with little cost to the organization,” said Bill Lowe, chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Unifi.
