Majestic Rug, Hollander join forces

Haworth, NJ — Majestic Rug Company, based here, and Boca Raton, FL-based Hollander Home Fashions have forged a partnership that represents a milestone for both companies.

Majestic, an importer of area, accent and scatter rugs, is creating a line that coordinates with the 32 juvenile, tweener and regular bedding collections Hollander recently introduced at the New York Home Textiles market.

The partnership marks the first licensing partnership for each company within the home textiles category.

For the New York market, Majestic launched 18 rugs that coordinated with Hollander's 11 collections for its juvenile and tweener categories. They included rugs that were shaped, glow-in-the-dark and in assorted colorways.

"It was very well received," Sandy McNeil, senior vp, fashion bedding division, Hollander, said. "Now we're working privately with our customers to coordinate rugs with all of our new collections to give them a full package deal."

More specifically, McNeil said that Majestic has also begun producing coordinating rugs for Hollander's remaining 21 adult/regular collections. Size for the rugs range from a 2.5' x 2.5' square through a 5' x 8' rectangular, said Steve Couri, president and ceo, Majestic Rug.

Price points were not available at press time.
