Garden Ridge Hires Harmon, Ups Comps

Houston —

Garden Ridge has named Bill Harmon vice president, marketing and information technology.

He was most recently senior vice president, marketing, at The Bon-Ton Department Stores. Harmon also served as senior vice president, merchandise planning, for Foley’s Department Stores.

In other Garden Ridge news, the company reported a sixth-straight month of positive sales momentum with May comps up 1 percent over last year and gross margin dollars up 6.6 percent.

For the fiscal year-to-date, Garden Ridge stated comps were up 5.2 percent.
