Homefires Expands Market Profile

Atlanta —
Rug company Cresc Corp., parent of the Homefires and Carefree accent rug programs and sister to Home Comfort rug company, is expanding its presence at several markets, as well as at its showrooms used by its sales staff around the country.
Cresc is building on its temporary exhibit space at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market and the New York International Gift Fair, in time for each one's next scheduled event.
Starting in 2008, Homefires will become an exhibitor at the Birmingham Spring Fair in the United Kingdom and will also have a presence at Maison&Objet in Paris.
These expansions come as a result of growth in the company's accent rug programs.
"The early success of the Carefree line in Japan, South America and the Caribbean Islands has proven that our popular accent rug line has 'legs' outside of the U.S., and we are now putting more of our focus and resources on growing the international business," said Rusty Boone, national sales manager for Homefires.
To support what Cresc expects to be further growth next year, Homefires is adding 50 new designs — "an unprecedented number," the company said — to its Carefree line. Plans are also underway for additional new designs to the Homefires Living line of lifestyle-themed accent and area rugs.
We would love your feedback!
