Karastan Promotes Storey

Dalton, Ga. —

Karastan has promoted Bill Storey to svp and gm of fashion brands, which include Karastan, Ralph Lauren, CustomWeave, and Helios.

Storey has spent the past 20 years with Karastan, most recently as svp of Karastan Rugs. In his new post, he reports to Tom Lape, president of Mohawk Residential, and is based in Mohawk's facility here.

"Bill has had an impressive career with Karastan," Lape said. "When he joined the company in 1987, he proved himself as a successful territory manager, advancing up the ladder to head our efforts in Karastan's area rug and woven broadloom segments. Under his leadership, Karastan has made substantial product and sales achievement progress."

Storey is now responsible for developing new growth opportunities for the Karastan and Ralph Lauren brands while also managing overall business responsibilities for the broadloom, woven, and rug fashion segments of Mohawk.
