Louisville, Ken. —
Louisville Bedding Company called the proposed acquisition of mattress maker Simmons by an investor group "a great development for Simmons and the entire mattress industry."
The potential new acquirer already owns Serta. The deal, if completed, would make the owners the largest mattress manufacturer in the world, displacing Sealy from a position it has held for decades.
"Louisville Bedding and Simmons' relationship remains the same today as it has over the past 20 years," said Steve Elias, Louisville's president and ceo, who noted the licensing agreement is now in its 23rd year. "A partnership like ours is both rare and unique, and we anticipate nothing but positive things to continue."
We would love your feedback!
