GORDONSVILLE, VA —
Towel manufacturer Christy looks to bring the spa and hotel experience home with its new Spa collection, introduced at market along with its redesigned logo.
The Spa collection "uses a shorter loop and a denser weave," said Oliver Newman, president, Christy USA. "It's more like a hotel towel."
Constructed of heavyweight Egyptian cotton in the U.K., the group includes a sauna towel, measuring 31" x 79" ($24.99 retail) as well as a big hand towel, 20" x 39" ($9.99). In addition, a spa robe has cotton waffle woven on the outside, and cotton terry within. The robe ($69.99) also has the company's newly designed logo embroidered on it. In white only, the collection will be available in August.
Christy also bowed its new logo, which looks like a cotton ball. "It's synonymous with what Christy stands for," said Oliver. "It's nice to have a new, clean identity."
In addition, the company introduced three new colors in its Embrace with Silk towel program: Lotus Blossom, Eastern Red and Blush.
