Atlanta — Bloomingdale's made its debut here yesterday with two full-line stores in the Perimeter and Lenox Square malls.
In home textiles, the departments are influenced by the "success of our freestanding stores," said Joe Laneve, senior vp, home.
The "edited" version focuses on only@Bloomingdale's exclusive Platinum towel collection, and a bevy of designer collections got "major play," including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren Home and Donna Karan, as well as Bella Notte, Frette, Bay Linens, Waterford, Tommy Bahama, Joseph Abboud and Royal Sateen. Nancy Koltes is also featured.
In addition, "we have great bath accessories," Laneve said.
Armani Casa bedding, which debuted in Bloomie's New York store at the end of last month, is featured only at Lenox Square.
"We learned a lot from our home stores," Laneve said, referring to the Las Vegas, Oak Brook, IL, and Medinah Temple in Chicago units.
The Perimeter store is 235,000 square feet; the Lenox Square store is 281,000 square feet.
We would love your feedback!
