Dow Latex raising carpet component prices

Midland, Mich. -- Dow Latex is increasing the prices of all latex products sold into the carpet industry by US$0.04/lb (dry), effective Aug. 1. &?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />&o:p>&/o:p>

The company said the price increase “is being driven by increased raw material, energy, and transportation costs.” &o:p>&/o:p>

The price increase will be applied to products in the North American market. Dow Latex, which also provides acrylic latex, increased styrene/butadiene (S/B) latex prices for products sold in China in October 2005.
