New York — The fall 2006 bed and bath lines by Royal Velvet include four new comforters, a new coverlet, five sheeting collections, and four new bath collections. Scott Maddalene, senior vp, Home Brands Division, Li & Fung USA, summed up the appeal of current Royal Velvet collections to consumers as “home fashions that look and feel so luxurious that you would wear them if you could.” Among the introductions in bedding is the Chapman Collection, complementary quilted coverlets available in twin, full/queen and king, priced from $59.99 to $79.99. Royal Velvet Comforter sets range from printed sateen and texture sets starting at $109.99 to woven sets up to $159.99.
The most luxurious sheeting line features 100% Egyptian cotton in the Royal Velvet Sateen sets, with a 500 thread count with a Barrato stitch hem. Colors include white, latte, shitake, ballet, crystalline, nougat, burnish and henna; prices are $79.99 to $99.99. In the pure comfort zone, Royal Velvet Pima cotton jersey knit sets feature a self piped hem and come in 10 colors, priced $19.99 to $49.99; Royal Velvet flannel sets, also with self-piped hem, come in 10 colors, priced $29.99 to $59.99.
To the current Signature and Legacy bath collections, the company is adding four new programs. Gallery towels use multiple textured color combinations in 100% combed cotton. Tranquility, in an extra long staple cotton construction, naturally soft and not chemically treated, comes in 12 colors.
In sculpted jacquard towels, Oasis offers soft colors while Metro comes in brights.
