NRF, RCT to partner

WASHINGTON -The National Retail Federation, the retail trade association, has announced that it will partner with RCT Systems Inc., based in Chicago, to provide aggregate retail consumer traffic figures for mall and mall-based department stores during the holiday season. RCT supplies customer traffic information to the retail and shopping center industries and originated the National Retail Traffic Index.
The National Retail Traffic Index will be released on a weekly basis throughout the holiday and post-holiday season as well as a seasonal roundup. The results will be posted on both the NRF and RCT web sites (www.nrf.com and www.rctanalytics.com, respectively).
The release dates for the holiday periods will be as follows: Figures for Black Friday, Nov. 24 were scheduled to be released on Saturday, Nov. 25; the weekend of Nov. 25 and 26 on Monday, Nov. 27; the week of Nov. 26 to Dec. 2 on Monday, Dec. 4; the week of Dec. 3 to 9 on Monday, Dec. 11; Dec. 10 to 16 on Monday, Dec. 18; Dec. 17 to 23 on Tuesday, Dec. 26, and the fifth week and post holiday on Friday, Jan. 5, 2001.
