New York —
Swavelle/Mill Creek Fabrics and its subsidiaries, Textile Fabric Associates (TFA) and Bravo Fabrics International, converters of decorative fabrics for home and hospitality use, have launched Swavelle Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
The new company has offices both in Shanghai and Hangzhou, China “to better meet the demands of its customers in an ever-changing marketplace,” said Richard Hanfling, president of Swavelle/Mill Creek. “It allows us to become a truly global supplier for all our labels.”
The new company will focus on Chinese manufacturers who serve both the American and global markets, Hanfling added. “Swavelle Trading (Shanghai) will provide great value, convenience and on-time performance.”
The new company also will facilitate China-to-China business, he said.
Heading the new Chinese business are Sam Xia and Hansen Chen. Sam Xia has been the Swavelle/Mill Creek purchasing agent for many years “and his team of experienced merchandisers, technicians and quality control personnel will run the daily operations,” Hanfling said.
Hansen Chou, a veteran of a major Chinese decorative fabric mill, will oversee all sales operations around the world.
The new executives can be reached at sam_xia@swavelle.cn and hansen_chen@swavell.cn.
