Nachemin moves to Bed Bath & Beyond

Union, NJ — Retail veteran Farley Nachemin has exited Hanover Direct to join Bed Bath & Beyond as dmm of bath.
At Hanover, Nachemin was chief merchandising officer for The Company Store division, and president of Domestications. He held a number of positions at the cataloger, including brand president of Domestications as well as head of the company's Turyia, Scandia Down and Gumps catalogs. Prior to Hanover, Nachemin was vp of home textiles at Federated Department Stores from 1990 to 1996.
He also served a tour of duty on the manufacturing side of the industry, working at Perfect Fit from 1987 to 1990 as manager for mattress pads and infant bedding. He began his career at Allied Department Stores as assistant buyer, ultimately becoming divisional buyer for home textiles. At Bed Bath, Nachemin succeeds Chris Papa, who left the retailer in early 2003 to join Mohawk Home as Midwest business manager
