P/Kaufmann taps Wilsker

NEW YORK —

Julie Wilsker has been promoted to vp, design for P/Kaufmann Fabrics, a division of P/Kaufmann Inc.

Wilsker, who had been print design director for the division, has been with the company for 15 years.

In announcing her promotion, Ron Kaufmann, president of the company, noted, "Julie has kept Kaufmann's print business healthy despite a fashion trend that continues to favor non-print product."

Kaufmann added that "the performance of the Kaufmann Fabrics division for the year ended March 31 was extremely strong, despite weak market conditions. There are a number of reasons behind this achievement from maximizing sales to minimizing overhead. Our business, however, is still driven by design." And he credited Wilsker for this accomplishment.
