Linen ’n Things’ cfo exits

Clifton, N.J. – Francis Rowan has resigned effective Oct. 6 as senior vp, chief financial officer and secretary of Linens Holding Co. and Linens ’n Things, according to paperwork filed with Securities and Exchange Corporation.
Under his contract, Rowan is not entitled to severance payments or other compensation beyond his unpaid base salary and benefits accrued during his tenure at the company, according to the filing.
Scott Hurd, currently vp, controller and treasurer, will add the titles cfo and secretary as of Oct. 6. He will also become a director of Linens Holding and LNT. As such, his base salary will increase to $250,000 from $210,000, according to the company.
