ATLANTA —
The Home Depot announced the hiring of its first vp, e-business.
Rebecca Bass is the former ceo of Galileo Development Systems, an Atlanta-based web software company. She has also worked for Lexis-Nexis and Motorola as well as for General Electric Company as the business general manager for the GE Aircraft Engines division.
Bass' new responsibilities will include overseeing all of Home Depot's e-commerce business. She will report to Lynn Martineau, president of the company's new growth businesses division and be based here.
"We are fortunate to have the hands-on leadership of such an experienced leader as Rebecca heading up our e-business operations," said Martineau. "She brings exactly what our customers, stockholders and the company need at this important juncture.
"Our e-business is now operating in the 48 contiguous states. With the added momentum Rebecca brings, I am expecting the business to take on new importance as we begin to leverage and extend the capabilities of our core and adjacent businesses," Martineau added.
We would love your feedback!
