Basel, Switzerland —
Ciba Specialty Chemicals has named Kent Kvaal as the new head of Textile Effects for the Americas.
Kvaal joins Ciba from Rayonier Performance Fibers. As the general manager of the Engineered Absorbent Materials subsidiary, he oversaw the start-up and growth of this new venture, producing airlaid nonwovens.
“We have great confidence that Kent's varied and successful background will bring the creativity, leadership and entrepreneurial spirit as we focus more heavily on technical textiles,” says Eric Marohn, global head of Textile Effects for Ciba. “We are committed to the industry long-term — in both the traditional business and in technical textiles — and Kent's successful track record gives us a strong additional resource to help both Ciba and our customers reach their business goals.”
We would love your feedback!
