United F&D adds natural fill collection

DES PLAINES, IL —
United Feather & Down is expanding its natural fill brands with the addition of the new Simply Natural Collection.
Simply Natural encompasses three fill types. Lycocell Down blends use fiber from beech wood trees blended with another hypo-allergenic fiber. United Feather has applied for a patent on the product, and will use it in comforters, blankets, pillows and mattress pads. It previewed during the fall and is now being sold exclusively through Select Comfort's 321-store bed chain.
The line is targeting department stores, specialty bedding stores and catalogs, and is positioned as "a unique natural product at an affordable price," according to the company.
