Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Takes New York Showroom, Hires Harris

Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn, a $250 million textiles company headquartered in Kanpur, India, is opening a new office/showroom in the 295 Fifth Ave. Bldg. Suite 703-A.

For the U.S. Market, Shri Lakshmi will focus on its current line-up of importers, mostly branded customers, as well as providing made-to-spec private label programs to retailers.

Industry vet Dan Harris has joined the company as senior vp, marketing and product development. He will be responsible for the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Harris spent 10 years at Revere Mills as vp of marketing and product development before moving in 2006 to join global sourcing operation OTB Marketing LLC as president.

Harris said: “I am very happy to be back in the mainstream of our industry, with a good solid publicly held company with the resources to be important.”
