Halston comes home

New York — The Halston label on its way into the world of home textiles through a new licensing agreement between Halston LLC and Design Textiles International USA (DTIUSA).

The Charlotte, NC-based DTIUSA has signed to produce top-of-bed, towels, bath accessories, shower curtains, decorative pillows, throws, decorative window coverings, place mats and napkins as well as outdoor furniture. The license became effective May 1, and DTIUSA and Halston expect to ship its first specialty store accounts in August. The label is also targeting department stores and home catalogs.

Said Richard Allen, ceo of DTIUSA, "We are excited about this new partnership with Halston. We feel this is an opportune time for this prestigious name to enter the better home market."
