Brentwood shifts mgmt.

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 1/21/2002 12:00:00 AM

Decorative pillow, throw and window treatment manufacturer and importer Brentwood Originals recently announced several management changes.

A company-issued press release said the changes are "targeted at realigning responsibilities and titles to reflect our approach to an evolving marketplace."

Former president Hal Alden is now chairman and founder of the company, which he founded in 1957. In his new position, he will be active in all facets of the company's business.

Loren Sweet, former senior vp, sales and marketing, was promoted to president, overseeing day-to-day operations for all areas of the business.

Jack Domer, formerly division vp with responsibility for the company's Olive Branch, MS, plant, is now corporate vp, manufacturing. He coordinates operations for Brentwood's three plants — the other two are here and in Youngstown, OH — while continuing to be directly responsible for the Olive Branch facility.

Kent Evans, formerly corporate controller, has become vp, finance, overseeing all financial aspects of the company's operations.

Remaining unchanged in their posts are Mel Rosenthal, executive vp, and Robert Miller, vp, operations.
