New fabric mill formed by veteran pair

San Diego — A pair of textiles veterans, Joe Rosenfeld and Shannon Lee, have teamed up to form Claridge Textiles International, a fabric mill that will produce silks, trims and other luxury fabrics.

A fully developed cut-and-sew facility is located on the new company's corporate-owned, 60-acre site in the Jin Jiang priovince of China and is already at full production, according to the company. Warehouses located in both the United States and Canada will have in stock the full line of fabrics and trims. With corporate headquarters located here, the company also plans to maintain a satellite office in North Carolina.

Rosenfeld, who will focus on product marketing and customer relations, previously held the position of president with Ametex, as well as American Decorative Fabrics. Lee will assume the responsibilities for design direction as well as management of the production of fabrics and trims. A Chinese textiles veteran for the past 10 years, Lee was also previously with American Decorative Fabrics as design director. The two will share corporate responsibilities for the company.

Price points for the product will start at $4 and up, and Claridge Textiles will debut its lineup at Showtime in January.
