Ritzenthaler buys kitchen and cleaning firm TesArden

West Conshohocken, Pa. – The John Ritzenthaler Co., the country’s third-largest kitchen textiles company, has made its third company acquisition in seven years, this time via its purchase of kitchen textiles and cleaning product designer and distributor TesArden LLC.

John Ritzenthaler Co., which is also a designer, marketer and supplier of table linens, bath textiles, laundry goods and cleaning products, took over TesArden in an effort to further expand its product offerings in similar categories and expand its market share, the company said.

TesArden is based in Southfield, Mich.

Ritzenthaler reported $64 million in kitchen textiles sales in 2007. Other acquisitions by the company included Standard Terry Mills in 2001 and Charles Craft in 2005.
