Wal-Mart names Jackson ceo of purchasing

Bentonville, Ark. – Wal-Mart Stores has promoted Lawrence Jackson to president and ceo of global procurement. Previously executive vp human resources, Jackson will continue to report to president and ceo Lee Scott. Jackson joined Wal-Mart in 2004 from Dollar General, where he was president and coo.

Wal-Mart also made additional executive moves:
Susan Chambers promoted from evp of risk management and benefits administration, to evp of human resources and diversity. 

Linda Dillman, promoted from evp and chief information officer, to evp of risk management and benefits administration. She will also lead the company's sustainability efforts.

Rollin Ford, promoted from evp of logistics and supply chain, to evp and chief information officer.

Johnnie Dobbs, promoted from senior vp of logistics, overseeing distribution centers in the eastern United States and specialty distribution, to evp of logistics and supply chain.

Chambers will report to Scott; Dillman, Ford and Dobbs will report to Wal-Mart vice chairman John Menzer.
