PakTex has appointed Poonam Ismail as its country manager for Pakistan.
Ismail was formerly the Lahore-based dmm for Target Corp. with responsibility for sourcing, a post she began in 2003. Previously, she had worked as a key market representative for Associated Merchandising Corp., with postings in Lahore and Dubai. She contributed to the placement and expansion of the Field Crest, Woolrich, and Waverly branded business.
Describing Ismail as “one of the most respected women in textiles in Asia,” PakTex president said she will provide “a great comfort level” for clients of the buying and mill representation agency.
