Leggett & Platt opens showroom at 295

NEW YORK — Leggett & Platt will open a 1,460-square-foot showroom in Suite 508 at 295 Fifth Ave. to showcase its new Vitalize brand as well as the renaming of its consumer products division to Sleep Comfort Systems by Leggett & Platt.

"We decided to be more aggressive about marketing opportunities and develop the Vitalize line of products within the scope of that initiative and wanted to showcase it in a permanentNew Yorkshowroom," said Joe Blazar, director of marketing at Leggett & Platt's consumer-products division."It strategically makes sense to go after more business with retailers at this point," added Blazar. "All of this relates to a more dramatic ability to expand the business in the retail channel of distribution."He said the company has been experiencing 14 to 15 percent annualized growth in the last few years, but anticipates 30 percent growth this year.
