Caesarea Introduces New Rug Construction

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 9/12/2005 12:00:00 AM

Caesarea Creations will introduce a new bath rug construction during the upcoming New York Home Textiles Market and show an enhanced construction for the HydroMagic rug it debuted during the spring market.

The new CottonPlus bath rug is woven from a blended fiber made of 60 percent cotton and 40 percent micro fiber. The new construction “is the softest we've come up with,” said Gidi Landau, vice president of sales and marketing.

CottonPlus features the “multi-layer back” that Caesarea debuted previously. It sandwiches a moisturing-wicking fiber similar to that in diapers between layers of woven cotton.

The new item is part of Caesarea's larger spa story in bath rugs, Landau said. As the spa trend has grown, so has the flexibility of spa programs, he added.

“In the past, spa was only white and natural in coloration. Now it's expanding into soft pastel colors,” he said.

Also expanding is Caesarea's family of HydroMagic products, which employ activewear fibers to absorb more moisture and dry faster. This market, the manufacturer has added micro fiber to the blend to create HydroSoft. The new product has an improved hand, Landau said.
