Raw materials prices rising again for rug-makers

MIDLAND , Mich. — Dow Latex announced it will raise the price of latex products sold into the carpet/rug industry by 5 cents per pound (dry).
The price hikes will become effective April 1. This is Dow’s second latex hike in 11 months. Carpet and rug manufacturers are also facing a 5 to 10 cent price increase on nylon products from Honeywell that becomes effective March 14.
